1Every 2027 Test Date
The last column is the 10-day deadline, the last day you can schedule, reschedule or cancel a seat for that date, or edit your registration. It ends at 11:59 p.m. local test center time.

Of the 35 dates, 17 are Fridays, 15 are Saturdays and 3 are Thursdays. Scores post on Tuesdays, except June 2 and June 23, which are Wednesdays. When back-to-back exams share a release date, the second one waits a day less: 31 days instead of 32 for a Friday and Saturday pair.
2Which Months Have the Most Dates
May has 7 dates, the most of any month, and February has only 1. The calendar stops after September 11, so if you miss the summer and September dates, your next chance to test in the U.S. is in the 2028 testing year. Canada runs its own calendar with different dates.

How Do I Register for the MCAT®?3The Four Limited-Location Dates
January 30, May 14, July 9 and August 28 are offered only at select U.S. test centers. The AAMC lists 12 metro areas for all four: Atlanta, the Bay Area, Boston, Dallas, Los Angeles, New York, Philadelphia, Phoenix, Sacramento, San Diego, Seattle and Washington, D.C. Chicago and Houston are added for January 30, May 14 and August 28, but not July 9. If you don't live near one of those cities, plan around the other 31 dates.
4How Fast Seats Go
Registration for every 2027 date opened October 20 to 22, 2026, and it stays open for each date until its 10-day deadline or until seats run out. The AAMC doesn't publish fill rates. UWorld's 2027 dates guide says seats in major metro areas and high-demand cities "fill quickly," especially for spring and summer dates, and that popular centers begin to fill by the 30-day deadline. The registration walkthrough covers the steps and the fees for moving a date, which go up as your exam gets closer.
5Picking a Date From the Table
Three checks narrow the list fast.
- Count back your prep time. Start from the date and work backward through your study schedule, with full-lengths in the last month.
- Read the score release column. A May 1 exam is scored June 2. A May 29 exam is scored June 29. The MCAT timing guide explains how that release date lines up with your application.
- Leave room for a retake. The last 2027 date is September 11. A test in late July or later leaves few or no 2027 dates for a second attempt once your score is back, and each attempt counts toward the AAMC's testing limits.
Once your score posts, you can see where it ranks with the PurpleCAT MCAT score guide, and the score release guide covers what that afternoon looks like.
Last verified November 3, 2026, against the AAMC's U.S. MCAT calendar for 2027. The AAMC's table prints the July 10 date's 30-day deadline as "June 110"; the 10-day deadline shown here, June 30, is unaffected.
