MCAT Content, Organized the Way It's Tested

Every topic follows the AAMC content outline. Browse by section, drill into each foundational concept, then open any topic for a full study module.

How the content is organized

The library follows the same hierarchy as the official AAMC outline. Most students know the MCAT has four sections, but few know how the content within each section is structured. It is organized into four nested levels, each one drilling deeper into the material:

1
Level 1

Sections

The four scored parts of the MCAT. Each tests a different domain of science or reasoning. This is the top level and where you start browsing.

2
Level 2

Foundational Concepts

Within each section, content is grouped into broad themes. Think of these as the major pillars of knowledge for that section. The AAMC numbers them (FC 1, FC 2, and so on).

3
Level 3

Categories

Each concept is divided into content categories, labeled 1A, 1B, 1C, and so on. These are the specific content areas the AAMC says can appear on test day.

4
Level 4

Topics

The most granular level. Every topic has its own study module with explanations, diagrams, practice questions, and review tools.
